Prepping Your Home
If you’ve scheduled a heating installation, there are certain preparations you need to make before the installation team arrives at your home. Read below for a list of things to do before receiving a heating installation in El Paso.
-
Assess the Existing Heating System- Keep an eye out for any inefficiencies in your existing heating system. Make sure to pass along anything you find to the installation team.
-
Clear a Path- Remove any furniture, decorations, or other obstacles away from the heating areas. This will minimize disruptions and help the installers work more efficiently.
-
Make Sure There’s Proper Ventilation- Proper ventilation is very important during a heating installation. This helps remove the fumes that may be produced during the process.
-
Remove All Clutter- Remove anything unnecessary away from the work area so the installers can move around easily while installing the new system. This can help the installation move more quickly and efficiently.
-
Plan for a Shutdown- During the heating installation, there may be a shutdown period. Make sure to plan ahead for any adjustments so that you and your family aren’t inconvenienced by this.
-
Make Sure Your Home- You need to be home at the time of your heating installation. The installers will need to have access to certain parts of your home, which you need to provide entry to.
-
Turn Off Gas/Electricity- The electricity must be turned off before the heating installation can begin; the same would need to be done if your home has natural gas. You don’t need to turn off the power to the entire house, just the area where the installation will be taking place.
